Author: Poker is a game of strategy and experience. Gambling not half as important. Players who always gamble will never become winners. Playing live poker requires concentration and management. Skills that are definitely not for everyone.
Stay cool
Never become emotional attached to the game. Many players have trouble staying rational after losing a couple of hands. The negativity prompts them to take the wrong decisions which won’t help them to get back on track. Always try to think ahead. Never get distracted by your emotions of the atmosphere of the moment.
Don’t think too much about the pot
Most players get really tensed as the pot grows. This is quite logical because the pot also contains their money and they would like to win that back, which can become really dangerous if they continue too long with weak cards.
If your hand is moderate or even weak than you should always deeply consider your options. Chances are that your opponents have great cards which reduces your chances of winning. Sometimes it is better to fold ant wait until you get better cards.
